On December 9, 2024, Batangas City unveiled the country’s first glass walkway, the Montemaria Miracle Walk, along with the Verde Island Passage Marine Biodiversity Center (VIP-MBC). Both attractions are located at the renowned Montemaria International Pilgrimage and
Conference Center in Barangay Pagkilatan, Batangas City.

Montemaria Miracle Walk: A Must-See Attraction

Standing 45 meters above ground and stretching 118 meters in length, the Montemaria Miracle Walk offers visitors stunning, panoramic views of Batangas Bay, the Verde Island Passage, and the picturesque surrounding landscapes.

Built for safety and thrill-seekers alike, the walkway features:


• Three-inch-thick glass reinforced with imported metals for added stability.
• Safety nets positioned underneath the structure.
• A unique middle section for adrenaline junkies, featuring no railings but equipped with safety harnesses.

While this breathtaking glass walk is not yet open to the public, it promises to become a top
destination for both tourists and locals, offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience of walking
above the clouds.

 

Montemaria International Pilgrimage Site

Montemaria is already a major pilgrimage destination, known for its iconic Mother of All Asia -Tower of Peace, the world’s tallest statue of the Virgin Mary, standing at 98.15 meters—even taller than Brazil’s Christ the Redeemer!

Verde Island Passage Marine Biodiversity Center

On the 4th floor of the Tower of Peace, the VIP-MBC is a cutting-edge digital aquarium showcasing the abundant marine biodiversity of the Verde Island Passage. Through interactive visuals, visitors can explore stunning depictions of corals, fish, and other aquatic life. This educational and immersive experience is expected to open to the public soon.
